CASE STUDY

Project Overview

Queen's Dino & Friends Poppin Jelly is a startup beverage business offering colorful milk and soda-based jelly drinks for kids and families. My role was to develop the brand identity and create marketing materials that improve the customer experience, strengthen brand recognition, and support both in-store and online marketing.

1

The Problem

The business was using a simple text-based logo with the generic name Dino Poppin Jelly, which lacked a unique identity and didn't reflect the owner's vision for the brand. As the business grew, the owner wanted to personalize the brand by incorporating "Queen's" into the name while creating a fun and memorable logo that would appeal to children. At the same time, the logo needed to remain clean and recognizable, even as the business planned to introduce additional mascot characters in the future.

What I Did

I developed a new brand identity by renaming the business to Queen's Dino & Friends Poppin Jelly, giving it a more distinctive and personal identity while representing the business owner. To keep the logo simple and memorable, I featured only the Dino mascot instead of including every character. The "& Friends" in the name represents the Pig and Bunny without overcrowding the design, allowing the brand to grow while maintaining a clean visual identity.

To better connect with the target audience, I used bright, playful colors, rounded typography, and a cheerful mascot illustration that creates a fun, kid-friendly brand while remaining versatile across signage, packaging, merchandise, and social media.

The Problem

The existing promotional banner no longer represented the current product lineup. The newly introduced Taro flavor was missing, and the transparent colored water splashes didn't accurately represent the actual milk-based drinks.

What I Did

I redesigned the banner while preserving the playful style the client wanted to keep. I added the new Taro flavor and replaced the transparent water splashes with realistic milk splashes that better matched the actual drinks. Starting with a plain white milk splash, I manually color-matched every splash to accurately represent each flavor.

I also replaced the old logo with the new Queen's Dino & Friends Poppin Jelly branding that I designed, positioning it at the center of the drinks to strengthen brand recognition and create consistency across all marketing materials.

The Problem

The business didn't have a menu board, so customers frequently asked about available drinks, prices, and best-selling flavors before ordering. This slowed down service, especially during busy hours. Since the business owner was focused on daily operations, there was also little time to build a social media presence or encourage customer engagement.

What I Did

I designed a clean and easy-to-read menu board that clearly displays every drink, flavor, and price, allowing customers to make purchasing decisions more quickly. I highlighted the best-selling products with a "Best Seller" label and incorporated a crown icon to reinforce the Queen's brand identity.

Drawing from my experience as a marketing strategist, I also suggested turning the menu board into a marketing asset by adding a QR code that links directly to the business's Facebook page. This encourages customers to follow the page and leave reviews after their purchase. I also recommended maintaining consistent social media posts to increase brand awareness, build credibility, and attract more local customers.

The Problem

Many customers preferred paying through e-wallets using Scan to Pay, but the owner had to repeatedly provide the payment number during busy hours. This interrupted the ordering process and slowed down customer service.

What I Did

To make payments faster and more convenient, I designed a custom standee featuring the Dino mascot holding a square frame specifically created for the business's e-wallet QR code. Instead of displaying a plain QR printout, I transformed it into a branded marketing piece that complements the overall identity of the business.

The standee is designed to be placed at the front of the booth, allowing customers to quickly scan and pay without asking for payment details, improving workflow while creating a more engaging customer experience.

The Problem

The business was introducing its new Taro flavor but didn't have promotional materials to announce the launch or generate excitement. As a newly released product, it needed eye-catching visuals that would capture attention, showcase the new flavor, and remain consistent with the brand's playful identity.

What I Did

I designed a promotional graphic that highlights the new Taro flavor using a realistic product presentation, matching purple color palette, and the brand's mascot to create an appetizing and engaging advertisement for social media.

To strengthen brand recognition, I placed the newly designed Queen's Dino & Friends Poppin Jelly logo as a sticker on the drink cup, making the product look more realistic while reinforcing the brand identity.

The client liked how the logo looked on the cup and decided to move forward with producing actual logo stickers for their drink cups, helping create a more professional and consistent brand experience across every customer order.
